    Isaac Newton was born on January 4th, 1643, in Woolsthorpe, England. Isaac was born during the 17th century which was during the Scientific Revolution. Isaac was born without a father because his dad had died 3 months before his birth. This is significant because it was when one of the greatest minds of the Scientific Revolution came into the world ("Isaac Newton Biography").

Grantham was a town in Lincolnshire where the King's School was and was where Newton lodged with the local apothecary.     In, 1661, at the age of 19, Newton entered Trinity college in Cambridge. He was able to attend because his Uncle had a job at the school. This event is significant because it is where and when Isaac Newton gained his education which helped him become one of the greatest scientists of all time (Harrison 107).

    In 1665 there is a great plague in London which kills 75,000 people. This was known as the black death plague. The plague started East and quickly spread to Europe.     Newton earned his Bachelor's degree in 1665 and stayed for his masters but an epidemic of the plague caused the university to close sending Newton home. He returned in 1667 and quickly completed the requirements for his masters degree. This is significant because it represents all the education he acquired in college (Harrison 107).

    In 1670, Newton inaugurated his professorship by delivering a series of lectures on optics, relating to an expansion of his experiments with prisms in the previous decade. By that time Newton had designed and constructed the first working reflecting microscope. The members of the Royal society were impressed with the efficiency of the small reflecting telescope. He earned this role because of the intelligence he showed and because of the knowledge he shared with the society with his model of a telescope. This is significant because it shows the importance of Isaac and shows how his work in science throughput the years of his life was appreciated ("Newton, Isaac" 57).
