"Next to Mars is Jupiter!"

"Can anyone besides Hayley tell me what’s after Jupi-"
RING RING
"Have a good day everyone" Miss Louvet stated.
As I left the class room I tripped over Mike's foot.
"GEEK ALERT, GEEK ALERT" Mike screamed to the whole school.
"Hayley is a geek" Angie chanted
I ran to the pickup line as fast as I could! -
The Push (3:00-4:00 p.m.)
When I got home, I ran into my room and started to cry. Everything has been different since my mom, Amanda, died. Hanna, my younger sister, has been more attached to me. Hanna walked into my room and asked,
"Are you okay Hayley?"
"I'm fine Hanna please go away." I snipped
Hanna left and minutes later my father, Allen, came into my room.
"I know what will cheer you up! How about you work on your special talking device! I haven’t seen you work on it in a while!" -
I'm Working on It (4:00-9:00 p.m.)
"You know your mother would have wanted you to finish it. She always did say she saw something special in you!"
"Alright dad, I will get to working, but I need to be alone."
I started taking a good look at my talking device. There really wasn’t much to be done. After about 4 long hours of working I decided I needed rest. -
Dreaming (12:00-7:00 a.m.)
"AHH! You're an ALIEN!" I yelled.
"It's okay, I just want you to be my friend."
"Your friend?"
"Yeah. I'm not going to hurt you if that’s what you thought!"
"Hayley wake up, wake up."
"Hanna! Get out!"
"But HAYLEY! You're late!" -
Talking Device (7:00 a.m -9:00 p.m.)
I ran down the street as fast as I could and luckily got there right as the clock struck 7:15! I couldn’t help but think about my dream all day! It felt so real!
"I’ve got to finish that talking device!" I thought
When I got home I didn’t waste any time I got straight to work!
I finally finished it! It was amazing! So perfectly structured. I turned it on and nothing happened. I was so disappointed so went straight to bed.
"I'm back."
"Hey! I missed you!! You never did tell me your name." -
Jupiter (9:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.)
"Oh, umm, my name is Hayley. What is your name?"
"My name is Marney"
"Well, Marney, where am I exactly?
"You're on my planet, Jupiter."
"I see, I must be dreaming."
"Dreaming? This is no dream."
"You mean I’m really here?"
"Yes, and I need your help!"
"What do you need my help with?"
"I need your help sneaking into the main office; it’s called the Purple Place. In there we will find files our king is trying to hide from us."
"Okay...? What kind of files?" -
Files (12:00-6:00 a.m.)
"Files that show us aliens everything you humans have ever made"
"Maybe we will find my talking device I just made!"
"What does it do?"
"Well, for now nothing but if I can build another one I could make it work and we could talk to each other!"
"Awesome! We will do that, let’s go!"
We ran into the house, while Marney distracted everyone I sunk into the file room. I grabbed as many as I could, including mine. We got back to where we first met and Marney gathered the materials needed. -
Back Home (6:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.)
I got to work and in no time we had another talking device.
"Hayley, breakfast is ready! Hayley!"
"Huh? It was a dream!"
"What was Hayley?" My father asked.
"Oh nothing."
After eating I rushed into my room and quickly turned my device on.
"Marney? Are you there?"
"Hayley, Hayley it's working!!!"
"So, it really wasn’t a dream?"
"No. I --- tried to tell --- you!"
"Marney? You're breaking up. Hello?"
That day I was so disappointed. At least I knew I would see her again tonight. -
Seeing an Angel (8:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m.)
"Hayley, my beautiful Hayley."
"Mom, I missed you so so so much!"
"I've always been right here Hayley."
"Mom, there is so much I have to tell you! First off I met an alien, well kind of. I meet her in my dreams. Her name is Marney."
"So I’ve heard. I spoke to Marney; she wanted me to tell you that meeting her wasn't fake."
"Really? Did she tell you what went wrong on the device?"
"Yes my love and I am so proud to see that you have finished it." -
What Was This?
"Well what did she say went wrong?"
"She said it died and that she ---."
BEEP BEEP
"Ahhhh. Stupid clock!" I yelled
I got up to see my device was gone! I walked out my room to go see if Hanna took it.
"How did you sleep Hayley?" my mother asked.
"Mom! You're alive! Please tell me this isn’t a dream too!"
"Of course I am. What’s gotten into you? I saw you yesterday, and a dream? What are you talking about Hayley?
"That means none of that ever happened? It was all, a dream?"
