    these people were nomads who traveled from place to place for food. they were the ones to discover fire to help them in an ice age. they created a spoken language. and made lots of cave paintings to show what they have done.

    Over thousands of years, some of the early farmer's villages developed into civilization. Arose in southern Iraq between the Tigris and Euphrates river. The greek called this area Mesopotamia meaning, the land between two rivers. Southern Mesopotamia in a region known as Sumer, each Sumerian city became a city-state. They were the ones who helped write. their writing was called cuneiform. Artians were skilled works who made metal prouduct, cloth, or pottery.

Built roads to join all of the empires. Writing based on Babylonians writing. Built temples and palaces with wall carvings and statues.

    Around 650 B.C. the Assyrians started fighting amongst each other, and a group called Chaldeans. In 612 B.C the Assyrian empire Crumbled. Led by King Nebuchadnezzar, they controlled all of Mesopotamia from 605 b.c. To 562 b.c. Babylon was rebuilt into one of the largest and richest cities in the world. The hanging garden at the king’s palace was visible from an away point in the city. Babylon was a popular destination for passing caravans, or group of traveling merchants.
