  • Settling in Tasmania

    After two years the British flag is finally raised up in Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) and then the settlers have to kill the Indigenoua Australians because they are authorised to do this.
  • The Governer Macquarie establishes a Native Institution at Parramatta

    When the Macquarie Governer establishes at Native Institution at Parramatta, which was a local school fro "Local Indigenous Australian children" , they tried to make Indigenous children believe that they were helping them understand there culture. Then lots of families finally realise that the Governer's aim was to actually distance the children from their Indigenous families and communities.
  • When white settlement becomes seriously under threat

    In Tasmania white settlers have orders and authorisation to shoot the Indigenous Australians. Then the martial war was declared in Bathhurst NSW after the Indigenous Australians become a serious threat to the white settlement.
  • Tasmanian Indigenous Australians get moved

    The Tasmanian Australians are forced to settle on Flinder's Island. The conditions were very appaling and then many Indigenous Australians die as a result. Later on the communtiy finally gets moved to Cape Barren Island.
  • Non-Indigenous citizens that were sent to Gaol for hard labour and in company with black native colonies

    Lots of non-Indigenous citizens had the choice to be sent to Gaol for hard labour and they were also lodging/wandering in company with the black native colonies. The clause had appeared in various legislations that followed into the century, that included all of the Vagrancy Acts.
  • Australian Aborigines Progressive Association NSW

    The Australian Aborigines Progressive Association was formed in NSW and then demanded the abolition of the policy that forced the removal of Aboriginal children.
  • Aborigines Welfare Board, that made a new legislation

    Under the new legislation, the Aborigines Welfare Board, decided to replace thev Aborigines Protection Board . The new legislation made it more difficult to segregate the Indigenous children from their families, but still in reality the practice still continued well into the 1960's.
  • Declaration of Human Rights

    The declaration of Human Right's was adopted by the UN, with Australia's support as well!!
  • The first Aboriginal president

    Joe McGinness was elected as the very first aboriginal president for the club FCAATSI .
  • The Chief protector was made the legal guardian of Indigenous people and "half-caste's" that were under 16 years of age.

    Under the aborigines Act (WA), the Chief Protector was made the legal guardian of all Indigenous people and also as well "half-caste's" that were under 16 years of age.
