    1851 soldiers killed 50 livestock and didn't want to deal with the indians who owned them Soldiers from the fort, augmented by 160 paid Zuni warriors, torched Manuelito's fields and village the indians retaliated until they were all rounded up and put on a reservation

  • Sand Creek Massacre 1865

    a 700-man force of Colorado Territory militia attacked and destroyed a peaceful village of Cheyenne and Arapaho in southeastern Colorado Territory, killing and mutilating an estimated 70–163 Native Americans, about two-thirds of whom were women and children.

  • Red River War 1874-1875
