    Gandhi Returns to India
    Gandhi returns to his country India after twenty long years in South Africa. He received a gold medal called Kaiser-I-Hind" that was honored by the King the same year he had returned from South Africa. He was welcomed by the people of Bombay as well as the press, although his mentor told him to not answer any questions for one year, his mentor ended up dying later that year while he was in India.

The commanding officer in charge saw the overwhelming numbers against them and fired into the crowd. A lot of people died as a result. Revolutions can go sour and turn out the way you don’t want and this is a perfect example.

    Gandhi encouraged indians to only buy India made goods which in result hurt the british economy in India while making India’s economy better. It was a civil way of stivking it to the man without any fighting.

    Ghandi was assassinated on 30 January 1948, shot at point-blank range by Nathuram Godse. Since 1934, there had been five unsuccessful attempts to kill Gandhi. Gandhi was outside on the steps of a building where a prayer meeting was going to take place. He was surrounded by a part of his family and some followers when three gunshots killed him. It’s tragic but ironic that a nonviolent person died a violent way.
