In Delhi, a mob of protestors for Mohandus Gandhi killed many Europeans, set fire to an Anglican church and tried to do the same to other British buildings, although Gandhi was against violence. British troops came in and killed over 100 protestors who were unarmed.

Ghandi was the only important leader in India promoting justice who was not yet jailed by the end of 1921. These leaders were for the non-cooperation movement.

In Chaurichaura Uttar Pradesh, a large amount of violence erupted which made Ghandi decide to end the non-cooperation movement; he was arressted soon afterwards.

The Kakori Train Episode occured when many men stole a large amount of money from a train. The government arressted these men and put them as part of the the Kakori Case. A few men were killed by hanging, some were sentenced to life in prison, and some just spent long periods of time in jail.

Britain sent Sir John Simon to India, along with others to try and make reforms in India. They were appoimted as the Simon Commission to politically reform India. The people of India decided to boycott the Commission, which led to huge protests.

LaLa Lajpat Rai died from being brutally charged because he led meeitngs that were anti Simon Comission.

Many Indians were mad about the death of LaLa Lajpat. Some of these people assassinated a police officer who was part of the charge on Rai.

Two men who were against the Britiish reforms threw a relatively harmless bomb into the Central Legislature Assembly. They had no intention of killing anyone; they only wanted to scare the assembly.

Indians, Bragat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhder were executed for throwing the harmless bomb into the Assembly. These men were seen as symbols for the Indian struggle against British rule.
