The East India Company was created after Britain said that they wanted to trade with India. Through the creation of this trading company, a full trade circle was set up and the East India Company became one of the most well known trading companies in the world. -

This is possibly the worst events to happen in the history of India's political history. This partition of India turned the Hindus and Muslims against each other. The two had been living in peace for hundreds of years and with the partition, India was split into the Dominion of Pakistan and the Union of India. -

India declared its independence and became an independent nation again at midnight on 15 August 1947. -

During a prayer meeting in 1949, a Hindu fanatic assassinated Gandhi. -
