Grandma and grandpa took the whole family to Disney World, This is the first family vacation of many and many memories were made here. -

I started kindergarden at Brown Elementary and had Mrs. Grovsner as a teacher. -

Two planes crashed into the twin towers and several lives were lost as the buildings crashed to the ground. -
Started playing soccer
My mom signed me up to play AYSO soccer and she was my coach. Soccer became my favorite sport and I played it every year until 8th grade. -
Lost first tooth

Went to Mexico
Grandma and grandpa took the family on a trip to Mexico. I tried sushi for the first time. -
Bestfriends moved schools
My bestfriends Mallory and Morgan got transferred to Wayland from Byron Center. I was really sad but we still continued to hangout after school and on weekends. -
Went to Jamaica
Grandma and Grandpa took the family on a trip to Jamaica. We made grandma go down the waterslide and she needed to be saved when she got down to the bottom. -
Family trip to Upper Penninsula
Parents took me and my brother to the Upper Penninsula to visit Mackinaw Island and lots of lighthouses for a family trip. -
Housing market crash
Banks were borrowing too much money and as a result there were over 3 million foreclosures by 2008. -
Vacationed to Dominican Republic
Grandma and grandpa took the family on a trip to Dominican Republic. Over the week my favorite part was swimming in the huge pool and spending time with my family. -
First black president
Barack Obama was inaugurated and became the first black president of the United States -
Got ears pierced

Started playing club volleyball
My mom signed me up for Far Out volleyball when I was 14 and I played several years of club volleyball, but changed where I played to to Impact Volleyball. -
Broke Pinky
During the last point in the last game of volleyball, I broke my pinky and had to go straight from my game to the hospital after I shook hands(with my opposite hand) with the other team. -
Uncle went to jail
Uncle got put in jail for treated younger girls inappropriately. -
Celebrated birthday in Turks and Caicos
Grandma and Grandpa took me and my whole family to Turks and Caicos over my birthday week. To celebrate I layed out on the beach, went snorkeling, and played beach volleyball.
