I’m leaving because I want to start a new beginning, and have more opportunities to do good things. I want to come back and make my family proud. My home life isn't the best so I wanna change that for my younger siblings. It’s always been my dream to meet my mom's family who lives there.

I am planning on taking the Berlin port out, this is pretty close to me and is safe. It's not too expensive, and provides the necessary needs for this trip.

Mexico is my destination for many reasons. I want to meet my mom’s side of the family, Mexico's employment rate is high, and I want to buy a business and start from scratch.

My transition to Mexico was good. The people were welcoming and I fit in well. My roommates help me get around, I'm learning new things everyday. I have a job interview tomorrow, hopefully it goes well.

Mexico's culture is way different than Germany's, I like the change though. Meeting new people everyday has been exciting. I’m hoping to meet my family soon. We plan to meet in Mexico City in a month.

I got the job! I help out on a farm about 21 miles away. I’ve been writing letters back and forth with my family back in Germany. I miss them, but they know I'm doing better here.

I didn't have a job previous to this one, so getting paid monthly has been nice. I finally feel stable, I have something good going for me. I also met my mom's family, who were so welcoming and loving. They're planning on moving closer to me, I have cousins now!
  • Carl Wright- 1905

Getting around town I walked a lot, sometimes I’d hop on a train. Transportation is quite expensive, so all I really go to is to work.
