    In the Middle ages Gothic architecture, specifically in churches which were of great importance, was all over the place.

    Time period: 1300 to 1500 AD. One of the most famous paintings from the Renaissance was the Mona Lisa. The Renaissance valued art over everything, thus producing some of the worlds most famous pieces of art.

    Time period: 1650 to 1800 ADThe Enlightenment left behind the free thinking whimsical art for more practical realistic art and thinking.

    Time period: 1780 to 1850 AD. The Romantic worldview looked like a Fairy tale for white people. Women wore ball gowns and men ruled over their families. This was the time of the civil war and thus when slaves were first freed.

    Time period: 1830 to 1900 AD. The Victorian era was a peaceful and prosperous time. Meals were plentiful and afternoon teas were often held by the wealthy. Art was important because beauty was valued in this period.
