I had a hard time finding what art to show, but I like the Egyptian painting. They show how simple people were back then.

I think that Maesta by Duccio is a good piece to represent that time, because it represents the importance they found in religion. I also think that we as a civilization have improved our art, and I think that you can see that here.
-
I think that The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli is a good pick for the Renaissance period, because they started using lighter tones and more colors.
-
L'Accordée de Village by Jean Baptiste Greuze I think really lets you get a feel of what it was like in that time period.
-
Wanderer above the Sea of Fog is one that we talked a lot about in class. I think it does a good job of showing the enthusiasm the romantic era had.
-
The Lady of Shalott by John William Waterhouse represents the Victorian era, because this painting just had so much detail. It also has more color, yet darker tones.
-
Dream Passage by Salvador Dali represents modernism pretty well. This worldview was really keen on being differently, since they really noticed the change of worldviews and became aware of it and how it effected the whole world.
-
I think that Banksy is a good representation of post modernism. I feel like we started to laugh at ourselves more and embrace mistakes that we made, instead of letting it ruin our whole day or week.

I think my favorite modern song that represents this era is Mind Electric, by Miracle Musical, this song is quite disturbing, and the entire first half of it is the normal song played backwards. I think it represents this era because there is a lot more art nowadays that doesn't just give you a message at face value, but rather you have to put together the pieces yourself.
