In March 1933, Adolf Hitler addressed the first session of the German Parliament (Reichstag) following his appointment as chancellor. All of the political parties in Reichstag except socialist and communist pass the "Enabling Act". This gave Adolf the power to rule by "emergency" decree.

The Nazi regime unleashed orchestrated anti-Jewish violence across greater Germany. 7,500 Jewish businesses were destroyed, 100 Jews were killed, and 30,00 Jewish men were arrested and sent to concentration camps.

Jews were sent to concentration camps along with Gypsies, and people with mental and physical disabilities, homosexuals, Jehovah's Wit-nesses, and prisoners of war. They all suffered oppression and death.

Many Jews are trying to obtain there exit visas. After the terror and humiliation many Austrian Jews tried to leave the country to escape the Nazi's. If you are lucky enough to get a exit visa you had to pay large sums of money still, in order to leave.

Government policies didn't make it easy for Jews to settle in America. Thousands of Jews traveled by ship to Cuba and the Jews being unaware that Cuba revoked their landing certificates. This forcing them to return to Europe and have many of them killed.
