Hitler made a choice to blame the nations defeat towards Jewish people and these choices lead to the holocaust, killing over thousands of them. In the text it states, “‘We began seizing goods from Jewish shops because sooner or later they would have been nationalised [confiscated by the government] anyway.’ The goods thus seized, the official added, ‘will be used to compensate us for at least part of the damage which the Jews have been doing for years to the German people.’”- -
The Weimar's choice led to the Holocaust because the government were stealing poor German citizens finances to repay the US loans. Its nation was going through hyperinflation and citizens were unemployed, unable to maintain themselves and not being able to trust one another. In one reading it wrote, "...abolished the Weimar national flag...There were daily parades, mass meetings, declarations of gratitude for the liberation of the nation, " This relates to the thesis because Weimar had collapse. -
The Nazis started destroying specifically only Jewish owned businesses and attacking them. Not only the Nazis but German citizens were too insulting them. In one of the readings it said, “On March 13 in Mannheim, they forced Jewish shopkeepers to close their doors. In other towns, they broke into Jewish homes and beat up the people living there.” This supports my thesis because Hitler and his party blamed Jewish people for the nations defeat and citizens started to follow along. -
The Nazis burning and destroying Jewish shops and synagogues lead to the holocaust because it forcefully made Jewish people have to evacuate. In a reading it stated, "A Jewish home was taken by a German women who saw the living room..home displayed outside a store.. asking her to leave by 6am because the house was 'hers.'" -
This quote is important because it shows how Germans thought it was okay to take over their property. This supports my thesis because it shows how Jewish people were being forced to live in concentration camps.

Hitler sent Jewish people to concentration camps. These choices lead to the holocaust because Hitler wanted to bring all Jews together and liquife them. In a poem it read, "Come, take this giant leap with me into the other world... the other place, and trace the eclipse of humanity..." This quote is important because it shows that Jewish people did nothing yet they were to blame. This supports my thesis because this poem talks about someone's experience with the holocaust and how badly it was. -
