The Stanley Cup
In honor of the new sport, Lord Stanley then donated a lavish trophy to the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association. The trophy, originally called the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup, was first presented in 1893 to the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association (AAA) team, champions of the Amateur Hockey Association. -

1923–24 NHL season contained the teams of the Hamilton Tigers, Montreal Canadians, Ottawa Senators, Toronto St. Pats. there was only 4 TEAMS, 4! that is crazy thinking that right now there 24+ teams, anyways the Ottawa Senators won the Stanley cup that year.
