    The first fleet arrived in Australia and hunted the indigenous people as well as capturing them to be slaves. If a man died on the first fleet the family would be left behind to fend for them selves

    south sea islanders that were born between 1863 to 1904 and came to australia were forced to work on sugarcane and cotton farms in queensland
  • Australian womens suffrage

    The Australian womens suffrage gave the women of Australia thhe right to vote in elections and make political choices

    Indigenous Australian were allowed to enlist in the army in october 1917 for the first time in Australian history. Immigrants were blocked from escaping unsafe situations as well as countries not letting those who left in because there might have been spiers from enemy forces hidden in the groups of people

    Women had become more independent after taking care of the countries and 2 million people came to Australia for safety from the war
  • Nicky Winmar's stand

    Aborigianl AFL player Nicky Winmar stood up to racist opposition spectators. Before this Aboriginal players had been harrassed and abused by them making this a big change in Australian history as well as changing the new generations opinion on Indigenous people
