    The Second Fleet arrive. Phew they were realy hungry because they ran out of food and needed some they waited for the Second Fleet. The Second Fleet lead ship was the Neptune.

    The first diggers lived in tents which they brought with them to the goldfields they were cold in winter hot in summer and very uncomfortable when it rained.
  • Van Diemen's Land/Tasmania

    Van Diemen's Land is a colony in the border of NSW. NSW was moved further WESTward to the 129th Meridian EAST.
  • Convicts

    England stopped sending convicts to Australia.Because it would be a bad colony because you need a+tleast 75%Good 25% Bad so they stopped sending bad convicts would get married and would give birth to more bad PEOPLE!!But maybe some babys when they were born. they MIGHT be good.

    Gold has been found in California (anounced in December 21 1848.

  • Qld Colony Starts

    Queensland Colony has started!!!When Queensland departed from New South Wales on 6 June 1859, it was the only colony in Australia that did not need a special act of the Imperial Parliament for its establishment. After a short while with an interim governing Executive Council, the new colony commenced as a fully functioning democracy with an elected Legislative Assembly.

    The First World War began when Britain and Germany went to war in August 1914, and Prime Minister Andrew Fisher's government pledged full support for Britain. The outbreak of war was greeted in Australia, as in many other places, with great courage.
