Grandma and Grandpa move to the United States
It was a nice sunny day as my grandma and grandpa walked off the plane. They finally made it, they were in the United States. They moved here from Greece. They had lived in Greece thier whole life. -
Mom's Birthday
It was a dark gloomy day, raining on and off. It was about 10 in the morning that my mom was born. She weighed in at a healthy 9pounds 2ounces. -
Dad's Birthday
Unlike my mom it was a bright sunny day. My dad was born on a Friday but not just any Friday, Good Friday. He was born around 6 in the evening, and wheighed in at 8pounds 9ounces. -
Kent State Shootings
On May 4th 1970 there were the famous Kent State Shootings. The shootings were a cause of a protest on the Vietnam War. Many students were against the war and during the protest the National Guard was called in to control the crowd. They opened fire on the crowd and killed for un-armed school students. -
Vietnam
On January 27 the peace talks stated that the next day we would cease-fire and would leave Vietnam. It was a happy day becuase at this point most people were againts the war. They believe we had no reason to be in Vietnam. Eventually things were back to being somewhat normal. -
Three Mile Island
In this day the worst nuclear disaster happened in U.S. history. A series of mechanical failures resulted in radioactive waste being put into the enviornment. Although it was eventually cleared up it was rated a five out of seven on the internation nuclear event scale. -
President Reagan Assasination Attempt
It was around the middle of the day when President Reagan had finnished giving a speach to a group of trade unionists. On his way to the car a man named John Hinckley Jr. pulled out a gun and shot Reagan he wasn't seriously injured and was just fine. -
Dad's First Car
It was just an average day out on my dad's siteenth birthday and he didn't really expect anything special, but he got the surprise of his life. He got his first car. Although it wasnt anything spectacular he still loved it. He got the Pontiac Sunburst. -
Berlin Wall
In the evening of November 9th 1989 government official Günter Schabowski said in a press conference that travel through the Berlin Wall was allowed at certain checkpoints. Thousands showed up to see if it was true and overwhelmed guards let them through. This was a huge and important event in history. -
Wedding
It was early in the year but it was a really hot day. Way hotter than average. Which was just perfect because it was the day my parents got married. -
My Sisters Birthday
It was a birght sunny day on September 6th 1995 the day my sister was born. She was born at 9 in the morning and weighed 8pounds 7ounces. Although I don't always get along with her I have to love her, she is my sister. -
JFK Jr.
It was another tragic day in the Kennedy's history. JFK Jr. was piloting his own plane when it crashed along the atlantic ocean. The plane was found five days later in 116feet of water. It always seems like the Kennedy's can't catch a break. -
Spring Break 2012
It started of as a warm and sunny day. I decided to have some of my friends over, about 14 came over. We fished and hungout all day. Then later in the day we camped out side by a huge bonfire which was crazy becasue it was like 34 degrees.
