    The RAND group had written a paper on packet switching networks for secure voice in the military in 1964.

  • Development of Computer Network roberts

    In late 1966, Roberts went to PARPA to develop the computer network concept and quickly put together his plan for the " ARPANET".

  • Book on ARPANET by: Leonard Kleinrock

    In 1976, Kleinrock published the first book on the ARPANET.

  • 1980s-1990s

    Internet serfvice providers began to emerge in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

  • Internet was Commercialized

    The Internet was commercialized in 1995 when NSFNET was decommissioned, removing the last restrictions on the use of the Internet to carry commercial traffic.
