Fido Net is introduced
FidoNet is made up of about 10,000 systems world-wide which have a network which exchanges mail and files via Modems.They are connected for the purposes of exchanging E-Mail to the Internet through a series of gateway systems which interact with the Internet via UUCP. It uses a store nad forward system to exchange private (email) and public messages between the BBSs in the network, as well as other files.
