    The internet began in a place not too far away from Canada. The development of the internet started in the late 1960s in California, United States. Leonard Kleinrock is credited for the introduction of the internet's concept with his publication of "Information Flow in Large Communication Nets" which happened on May 31st, 1961.
  • Communication from one to another

    Communication from one to another
    Packet switching technology was used to communicate between two computers back in the day. The first ever use of the packet switching technology happened between two computers at MIT Lincoln Lab. Later this device was enhanced and finalized as the interface message processor (IMP). With the finalized version of the IMP Beranek and Newman Inc. was able to win the ARPANET contract.

    A press released by the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) introduced the public to the internet. Which allows us to be able to access all sorts of information that can be found in any library. Even with the public's debut remember not all the people were able to afford computers so not a lot of people had access to the internet. They knew only of the internet's concept.

    Unlike today, messaging didn't exist until 1969. The first ever message was sent from Professor Leonard Kleinrock's laboratory at the University of California to a computer located at SRI.

    Have you ever heard of the word E-mail? We'll without Ray Tomlinson you wouldn't be able to able to create any accounts on social media. While people are slowly getting introduced to the new technology of the century Ray Tomlinson created the first messaging system called e-mail.

    As the NSFNET goes online at 56 000 bits per second (speed of typical computer modem). As the days goes by the speed gradually increases. Also with the NSFNET the internet expands throughout the US.

    Tim Berners-Lee develops HTML which continues to impact the way we navigate and view the internet today. Without HTML this website would not exist because HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) uses codes to create content such as "heading", "paragraph", and so on. These codes then create what you see on this website.

    Amazon and eBay which were founded and created on different years now can be found the internet. Amazon which was founded by Jeff P. Bezos and created on 1995 only went online after 1 whole year of waiting. eBay on the other hand was founded by Pierre Omidyar in the year 1995 then later uploaded on September 21st, 1998.
