    Marconi sent the very first radio signal, therefore creating the radio. Many people think marconi didnt send the first radio signal. It wasnt music or morse code it was just a signal that was sent and recieved

    De forest basically replicated flemming's diode hence for the name triode. But he went a stage further by adding an aditional element.The triode was initially used as a detector. However it was not used to its full potential because no one fully understood its full potential

    de Frost realized the full potential of a triode. Eventually he created an amplifier by using 2 separate devices. This was then shown to AT&T who then realized it could also be used for a repeater in long distance telephone circuits

    Edwin armstrong created a reciever where the incoming signal was converted down to a fixed intermediate frequency. it could be amplified and filtered this way. at first the idea did not gain much acceptance becuase of the war.

    initial transitions were made for expiramental purposes in britain. it was only 2 daily broadcasts but they had an enormous impact .

    the marconi company was allowed to set up a station in london in 1922. soon the british broadcasting company took over that had the famous call 2LO.

    the westikng house company set up a short wave broadcasting station known as KDKA. this station transmitted a wavelength of 62.7 meters. in britain an amature station started broadcasts in 1927 this took many peoples interests and shortly after commensed broadcasts from an experimental station.

    It took many years to create what we use today as FM the person who made the break through was Edwin Armstrong.it was in 1934 that he brought his idea to the RCA and in 1935 showed a demonstration. his idea began to take off in january of 1940n. in 1954 the bbc launched its wideband fm service.

    War of the worlds was a 60 minute broadcast based on H.G. Wells' novel, War Of The Worlds. Many people were frightened and began to thing that a martian invasion was beginning and or going on. There was much drama but that broadcast led Wells to become very famous.
