    KDKA in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is the first ever radio station to go on air. KDKA is still in operation as of today.

    The radio station WEAF airs the first commercial broadcast. The commercial was 10 minutes long and promoted an apartment complex. This broadcast changed how we monetized the radio industry.

    Start of the Golden Era of Radio, major shows included Amos and Andy, Superman, and Gunsmoke.

    Edwin Armstrong created FM radio. FM radio allowed a higher range of pitch to be heard on the radio making it possible to play music.
