  • First Year of Sports

Soccer was the first sport I played in. It was more of an introduction to soccer, but from there I began to love playing sports. I also tried cheer around this time, but it wasn't for long.
  • New Baby Brother

I wasn't able to remember anything from before my sister was born, but with my brother I remember many changes in the house.
  • Psoriasis misdiagnosis

After several months of trying to find what had started to happen to my skin, my parents found out that I had psoriasis. While it is something I will have to live with, the worst part is pills or creams every few months to keep my skin from becoming scaly and red.
  • Swimming lessons

This was where I learned that I loved to swim. While I don't enjoy swimming competitively, I find it fun and sometimes relaxing. From then on, I always asked my parents when we could swim in the summer, or if the hotel we stayed in during vacations had a pool.

    Permanent Residency

My dad is a permanent resident in the US. At some point he stayed in Mexico for about a year. Because his status expired, he did have to go back to Mexico to renew it. Even though my dad called us at least once a week, I didn't see him for that year.
  • 2012 Olympics

The first Olympics that I watched, and what got me into watching more sports.
  • London and Paris

In the summer between 6th and 7th grade year. I saw many places like the Eiffel Tower, and Big Ben. I also saw Normandy Beach, and we found a lot about how WWII impacted France at the museum.

    Middle School

I was in a New Tech program in middle school, and it was definitely a different learning style than the Montessori program i had been in before. I learned how to lead and collaborate with other people and teams.
  • 2016 election

For most of the year leading up to the election, I began to pay more attention to politics and try to learn what they meant. Before I had only looked at bits and pieces, but I never fully researched political topics.

    Cebolla's

My first and only job so far was at a Cebolla's restuarant. I was able to work there the summer before I started high school, since my dad usually worked there at the same time I would. I didn't get a set schedule, and was usually just called in to help on busy days. There I learned how balancing a job and sports was difficult, and that adding school to the mix would be very challenging for me.
  • Moving to a new house

The reason for moving to a new house was to be closer to school. It was a 30 minute drive from my old house to all of our schools. My parents had tight work schedules, so moving was the best way to manage all of the busy schedules.
  • First Day of Highschool

The first day of high school was a little rough for me. I had just moved to a new home, joined a new sports team, and had trouble at home with my family.
