Andersonville was a prisnor of war camp. It is now a historic site that you can go and look around. It is a big prison it held like 3,000 people in the prison. When the people would come in they would have to biled there own place to sleep and there own shelter to get under if it was to hot and if it was raining. If a prisoner tryed to get away they were to be shot on the spot. When some of the prisoners did get away they were either founded and killed or they died of heat and no food and water.
