  • First Computer

    The ENIAC was the worlds first electronic digital computer, invented in 1946
  • Whirlwind

    This computer was designed for the SAGE ari defense program and was improved many times, including magnetic core memory, which made it many times more usable.
  • Pong

    A ping pong game, called Pong is released for the Odyssey gaming console, bringing computers to the public alogn with Skethpad and DAC - 1.
  • The Mouse

    Douglas Engelbart invented the mouse, making the computer incredibly user friendly.
  • IBM 3410 Magnetic Tape Subsystem

    These increased tape storage capability immensely and offered many advanced features to people at a low cost
  • Intel 8008, 4004 and 4040

    Microprocessors are introduced creating more freedom in technology size and devices.
  • Altair 8800

    This simple computer was an incredibly successful gamble from Johnathan Titus
  • Apple

    Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs form Apple and release the Apple 1.
  • The TRS-80 and Commodore

    These were the first of the Personal Computers and sold for $600 and came with a kewboard and a cassette tape drive and display.
  • 1989

    Many more computers were released that all influenced the market. Graphics and memory all increased over the decade. 3d graphics were introduced along with multimedia and bitmaped and outlined fonts
  • IMB PC

    The IBM PC is released adding to the list of personal computers
  • SAGE

    SAGE also pioneered further, developing the first graphic systems for their air defense program. They also used their new An/FSQ-7 computers as radar display consoles that used buttons and switches on the consoles, that corresponded with different information. It also utilized a light gun, like an early mouse.
  • Compaq aand Macintosh

    The Compaq was the first succesful PC clone and the Macintosh was successful with its graphical user interface.
  • Technology today

    Technology keeps getting better and better. Processing, memory, and graphics increase with each new release and year.
