    From Lutherville, Maryland the band started in high school freshmen year. The band consists of Alex Gaskarth- lead singer and guitar, Jack Barakat- lead guitarist, Zack Merrick- Bassit and back up vocals, and Rian Dawson as their drummer. They started out as just a Blink- 182 cover band.

    the Party SceneIn 2004 theband got signed to Emerald Moon Records and released their first ep: "The Three Words to Remember when Dealing with the End," and first album "The Party Scene." With two albums the started touring the east coast.

    While touring they got the attention of Hopeless Records. Getting more serious about their music senior year. Soon they were in the studio recording new music

    Instead of recording and releasing a full length album with Hopless, the band choose to do an EP. However, their EP was a little longer than most having 7 instead of 4 tracks. the title comes from lyrics in their song "Break Out! Break Out!" 5 songs on this cd are actually orignally from the Party Scene. The EP has sold over 6,000 copies

    So Wrong, It's Right; Getting reconized
    2nd full length album for the band, 1st with Hopeless. Alex Gaskarth, who also writes their songs worked with Matt Squire and Paul Levitt. The album contains 12 tracks. In the first week of realeasing it sold 14,200 copies. The track "Dear Maria, Count Me In" was turned Gold by RIAA for 50,000 copies sold w/out radio play.

There was 63,000 copies sold and hit #4 on the Billboard 200!The band got to experience their first full circle moment was when they got to write a song with Blink 182's Mark Hoppus!

  • Interscope and Dirty Work

    Interscope and Dirty Work
    The guys decided they wanted to reach out to a bigger audience and sign with Interscope Records a much bigger record company. During this they put out their 4th album: Dirty Work. Dirty Work consists of 12 tracks plus 3 bonus tracks on the Deluxe editon. Sold 45,000 copies the first week and 107,000 as of Oct 2012. Also, ended up as #6 on Billboard 200

    After Dirty Work was realeased the band just didn't feel like Interscope was their best fit. The band was labeless for about a year before going back to Hopeless. During that time they released their 5th album. consisting of 12 songs. They sold 48,000 copies and the album debuted #6 on the Billboard 200!

    The boys were so proud of Don't Panic they decided to draw out the album and add some bonus songs. In this deluxe edtion there is 4 acoustic covers and 4 new songs. One song called "A Love like War" was cosang by Pierce the Veil's Vic Fuentes. The renewed cd is #19 on Billboard 200. They are now on a world tour
