Andrew Jackson wanted the Indians to move off the land so he made a plan to get rid of them. They started pushing the Indians westward of the Mississippi River ever since the 1800's. They called this the Trail of Tears because some Indians would cry as the whites would push them away from the homes. -

Martin Luther King Jr gave a speech. He said "I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." He helped African Americans get equal rights. -

Elvis was a music star. He died because of a heart attack. -
September 11
Terrorists took over the four airlines and used them as weapons in Washington, D.C and New York City. The terrorists flew airplanes into the twin towers causing them to crash down. It ended up killing about 2,500 people. -
