After John Fitch died who was the sketch the desgin of the steamboat and Robert Fulton was the man who built it and he ws called "The Father Of Steam Navigation".

    It is a name of the trail for the forced relocation of the Native American tribes down south. These tribes were stripped of their rights and were forced to move here. A lot died on the trail and the men who forced them there felt shamefull.

    The leader of the group had book that suppose had shortcuts for way to cross the mountains but the book was wrong it added about 100 miles to the trip. This book had led them to their doom. When they stoppped to fix an axel snow began to fall leaving them in a 5 month winter nowhere near a fort. They had to start eating their oxen and when they were all gone they ate anything they could find which was the dead.

    This happend because of Mexico thought Texas was their terriorty despite the Texas Revolution. The U.S. invaded Mexico and was able to capture Mexico City which left the U.S. in victory.

    It all started when James W. Marshall confirmed that there was gold and told the Oregon people. About 300,000 people came to seek gold. These people were sometimes called the "49ers". Many people tried to find better ways to mine the gold. Most "49ers" went home with less than they came with.
