Terrorist bombing of the Twin Towers
Two hijacked American airliners flew into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York causing them to collapse. One plane also crashed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. It was announced that more than 3,200 people were killed or missing as a result of the terror attacks.
I chose this event because many people died on that day, and as a result of this event president Bush announced "a war on terror" this war would also lead to many deaths. -
