huricane george in puerto rico
this afected me because iwas living there at that time with my mom and brothers. this hurricane was very bad i remmember cars everywhere and trees, garbash can flying. i started crying because i didnt really understand what was happening and if it was going to hurt us. some of my familie members lost there homes and they had to come live with us for a few months. this was a new thing in puerto rico they started building homes with better things and cleaning up the streets after the disaster. -

war in afghanistan
this afected me by knowing that many of our soldiers were dying and that really soon my older brother will problably be involved in it. Also i remmenber in 2011 they started to bring in some troops after a couple of month that they have killed osama. when i was in school my teacher told us that osama was dead and after i heard it from him everyone was talking about it. knowing that osama is dead and the war hasent ended im scared for my two brothers. -
sadam husane
sadam husane was the one who was involved with the attack of the twin towers. this is when u.s noticed that sadam wasent a good person so in my belief i think the u.s whas getting a bit protective but after the twin towers in 2009 they new they had to step it up. this affected me because after the twin towers i was scared he was going to attck some where else and it was going to be closer to home. -

when facebook was first invented i remember my mom showed it to me n said "its kinda like myspace"but i thought it was wack because none of my friends used it or i didnt have alot of family that used it either. after 3 months evryone started using it so i used it to keep in touch with my loved ones n old friends. this affected my life style because i could write to my uncles n aunts and not have to call them so much. also it would help keep it touch with old friends and meet up with them. -

obama is our first african american president. This has changed a lot in america for example this afected me by showing me that u could do what ever u want in life and where u come from dosent affect it. This was a big change in every one life and for the united states of america because it meant that we have changed. it was the biggest thing in 2008 when he was a elected in school they showed us how he won it was a real schock and a big diffrence in the future of the u.s. -

twin towers attack
i chose to put the twin towers attack on my timeline because it afeected many people including me. I remember it was talked about for 2 weeks a lot of roads were closed and it was hard to get to school. i my self was scared beause my mother wasent home and she was very near the twin towers and she didnt get home up to late at night. it afeected me because i thought i wasent going to see my mom and seeing the t.v and knowing kids were not going to see their parents made me really sad. -
earthquake in heide
In this tragic a lot of our troops were over there to help them out . what i heard in the news whas that earthquke in Heide injured 300,000 people, displaced 1.3 million, and left 97,294 houses destroyed. this was sad to hear and see in pictures what they were going through.this affected me because it wasent a fun time for us as americans to see there suffering knowing someday it could happen to us and i believe that why we helped them. -

when i first was informed that this tragety happend i was in my house wen my mom came home and told me. almost all our troops went over there to help them to give them food and much more. i was scared because knowing this could happen to anyone and it unespected and u cant stop it made me relieze that im fortunate that i have never gone through something like that. it affected me big time because i valued the things i had more. -
End of Iraq war
i was very happy wen i found that the iraq war was over. even though over the years the airport got really strict into what u bring in the airplanes but it was for the best of us. this affected me because my cousin that i grew up with micheal was over there in the war. i think he was home for the holidays and that made my aunt very happy and me too because i got my ousin back. It was rough not seeing him but i knew even though it was rough in iraq and we lost many soldiers i knew he was coming. -

obama and gay marriege
when obama announced that he thinks same sex couple should be able to get married it might have caused a lot of issues. But i personally think he just trying to get america use to it. This has affected me because i know some of famiy members that have gotten shot in puerto rico because they like the same sex and its not fare. i saw in a website that he thinks we would get use to it in time. same sex people get killed a lot of them but they cant change it because its what makes them happy. -
Nato apologizes for deaths in afganistan
The nato apoligizes to them because they killed 8 civilians. they know that its not ganna bring them back but its good to give respect and say sorry then be mean. this affects me knowing that they wont problably wont do nothing back evil to us because they saw we apoligized and problably had some respect for that. Knowing my brother is going to the army is good to know there wont be so much drama -
hurricane irene
This would be the secound flood i have witnesss but irene was the worst any one of them. this affected me becacuse i remember we had to get out of our appartment by fireman helping us. It was very sad for me because we had to live my gunnipig and hes like family to me. Many people stayed with out homes and one of my brothers friends was a victim of it we had them stay with us up to they fixed there house. i remember seeing military people trying to get through the water but they couldn't.
