    People got fired because machines were being developed and took over people's jobs and because people were getting unenployed which meant that they were not providing money for themselves or family members which lead to stealing to survive and this meant more people went to prison and prisons got even more overpopulated. This also meant that people went to Australia for a new oppurtunity

    1851 The Gold Rush

    The gold rush cause the population of Australia to increase by a lot because the gold made the country more wealthy and people wanted to live in a wealthy country.

    First people in Australia

    The first people in Australia were the Aboriginals . They are known as the original founders of our loud for the Darug people.

    Famine

    Famine (hunger) was also a massive part in crime level. If people were dying of hunger they would go and try to steal food from around the town. This caused even higher crime level!

    Over crowded prisons

    To much crime cause over crowded prisons. This meant that Britain had to find a new place to keep the convicts. Since Australia was just founded and it had so much land free this is where they decided to keep the convicts. This increased Australia's population even today it still does!

    Increased Productivity

    Increased productivity (more goods quicker) was a good thing because things were in higher quality and worked a lot better which meant people got a better lifestyle and as a plus they got more family time as machines were working for them.

    Polution increased

    Polution increasing was caused by the population and all the machines doing jobs for the towns people. A lot of people died from the poor air quality . This was a good and a bad thing because people dying is obviously not a good thing . But it was a good thing as well because the population started to decrease which also stopped as much crime.
