    American Revolution

    The american revolution was a struggle between 13 American colonies and Great Britain as a whole. The american colonists that supported independence were called patriots, British soldiers were known as “redcoats” or “devils”.

    Industrial Revolution

    The industrial revolution started in the late 1700’s in Great Britain, Europe. Economic change includes the agrarian and cotton industry changing. Most people moved from the country areas to the more central city areas. Turns out there weren’t just one industrial revolutions but in fact there were two, one was in the late 1700’s until the mid 1800’s and the second was from the mid 1800’s right until the early 1900’s.
  • Decleration Of Independence

    The declaration of independence is the usual name of a document that is adopted by the continental congress on July 4th 1776. The main purpose for America’s declaration of independence was to explain to the rest of the world why the american colonies separate themselves from Great Britain.
  • Captain Cook's death

    Captain cook death- The great man Captain Cook who discovered Australia in 1770 passed away 9 years after discovering Australia in 1779. He was believed to have died from a brutal stabbing by Hawaiian natives when he discovered their land. Captain Cook was not only just a sailor but an explorer, navigator and also a cartographer for the British Royal navy.

    French Revolution

    They used to have a thing called a national razor which is a wooden structure with weight attached to a rope with a razor attached to it as well. It is used to cut peoples head off when they do something wrong within the community, It was known as a guillotine.

    Irish Rebellion

    23rd of July, It was an uprising against the british in Dublin which failed. The leader of the Irish rebellion was Robert Emmet, he was alive from 1788 to 1803. He ended up joining United Irish Society and became the secretary. An Irish republican organization launch the Irish rebellion in 1798.

    Greek Revolution

    The greek revolution was a war fought against the Ottoman empire. It was during the period of 1821 and 1832, the war carried on for 11 years. 105,000 people were during during those 11 years, that's 9,545 people a year. The greek were later assisted by the Russian Empire, Great Britain, Kingdom of France and also many other European clans. The greek war of independence later sparked the Russo-Turkish war from 1828-1929.
  • Australia's Gold Rush

    In 1851 gold was discovered in a small country town located in Victoria called Ballarat. This attracted large amounts of gold panners and gold miners to Australia, people were sailing from all ends of the earth to try their luck at finding large amounts of gold. This meant there were lots of people staying in the city of Melbourne which as a result lead to a stimulation in the economy.

    The Crimean War

    The Crimean war was military war fought between 1853 to 1856. The war was between the Russian Empire and an alliance of the Ottoman Empire, France, Britain and Sardinia. The war was actually started over religious reasons. In the two and a half years the battle was going on there were 750,000 people killed, this was due to the amount of newer more high tech weaponry that had been created.

    On the 1st of January 1901 Australia decided to become a federation and unite as one. All six british colonies within Australia before 1901 decided to become whats know today as the commonwealth of Australia. Meaning that all the six states instead of being different federations they all decided to become a whole.
