The war was fought between 1812-1825 against the U.S. and Britain. The battle of Plattsburgh was significant because a British fleet blasting away at the fort but in the end the U.S. fort held up. Most would say that we lost the war, but we held up against the current strongest army in the world at that time, that's like a rooster holding up against an eagle. I would call that a win. -
