  • Savannah became the first capital of Georgia

    (ignore the date besides the year) This is when Georgia had decided which was the new and first capital
  • Religion takes it toll and comes into play

    This was the time when religion (catholicism and/or christianity) had become very important to the people in the U.S.-especially the south-where baptists and methodists established churches, including the outdoors events (tent revivals and camp meetings).
  • End of American Revolution

    This was the end of the Revolution in the colonies. Then the colonies, now known as the United States of America, and created their own government.
  • The first public college in the Country

    This was the construction and creation of the first public American college in the country (because of Abraham Baldwin), but mainly very important because it was in the south. This college was established because Abraham Baldwin believed that the government had a duty to give all an education. This college also allowed lower income student families to get an education.
  • New Capital of Georgia

    When diseases, such as malaria, had started to grow in the population. The state capital had no choice but to govern in another town to get away from the vial fiends of diseases. They moved the capital to Augussta, Georgia.
  • Slave Church?!?!

    This was the establishment of the first Slave Church in Savannah. Religion was so important to the Southern Americand that even slaves had gotton their own belief and structure (infrastructure) to the religious activities
  • "New Invention for Profit, ON THE MARKET NOW!!"

    This was when Eli Whitney had created a new invention for cotton production to increase speed. Eli invented the cotton gin that took the seeds out of cotton much quicker than people and could quickly produce this cotton and sell it faster, so it was more profitable.
  • Another New Capital for Georgia?

    This was another new capital in Georgia that was created for the same reason as before, snd this predicament had slowed trade within Georgia, as well.
  • Another new Capital, WHAT????

    This is when, once again, Georgia had moved their caplital again, but this time, it was in Milledgeville. (for the same reasons)
  • Another new invention

    This invention was the creation of the railroad and trains, which increased profit, like the cotton gin, and increased the trade and sellgin of products (mainly cotton, because it was the most popular cash crop).
  • Terminus' name becomes Marthasville

    the old city of Atlanta was first named Terminus, but this name was changed to Martasville at the time.
  • Marthasville becomes ATLANTA!

    Now this cities' name becomes Atlanta when it was previously Marthasville.
  • A new MILESTONE!

    OMG! There are more than 1,200 miles of rails that have been built in Georgia (railroads), WOW!!!!!!! <3 :D
  • The new and BESTEST Capital EVER. NEW. :)

    This was, yet again, the new movement of Georgia's capital. this time it was moved ATLANTA. This time, it was completely permanent and the other issues that caused the movements of the capital had slowed and come to a halt. ^_^
