    This was an 1803 courtcase with William Marbury versus James Madison over the dispute of the 'Midnight Judes'. Marbury believed he should've gotten his position as the the Justice of the Peace, but Madison did not, because he said that the Federalist party was trying to take over the government. It ended in favor to Madison, but the chief justice said he should've gotten his position.This case also establishe d the rule of judicial review.
