  • assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand

    A royal prince of Hungary was assassinated. His death led to the great war. After his death, Austria-Hungary volunteered themselves to investigate Archdukes Assassination; but Serbia went to Russia for help, and on July 28 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war of Serbia. After hearing that Russia was going to be helping Serbia, Germany delcared war on Russia on August first.

    The Great was was World War One. It was the first war that had almost every major power participating.
  • Austria declaration of war

    After Serbia refusing to let Austria-Hungary to help investigate Archdukes Franz Ferdinand's assassination, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, fueling World War 1
  • Schlieffen plan

    The Schlieffen plan was made by Germany to use 90% of its army to attack france, and then use the 10% to attack Russia. 34 Divisions invaded Belgium, and 8 divisions invaded Russia. This plan brought alot of the Major Powers into the war.
  • First Battle of the Marne

    This was the battle that brought Germany to the stalement. The battle between Germany and France was long, hard, and seemed to never end. Germany's Plan was beginning to failed, and was forced to use Trench Warfare.
  • Battle of Limanowa

    THe battle Between Germany, and Russia in the Eastern Front. The Results would weaken te Russian army, and gain Germany's advancements.
  • Gallipoli Campaign

    This was one of the gretest victories the Ottomans had ever won. it led the Allies to flee because of major casualties, and Ottomans taking back constantinople
  • Battle of Verdun

    This battle was the longest battle of World War One. I twas also one of the Major battle of the Eastern front. France won this battle, which was a heavy loss towards the Germans
  • battle of somme

    this was one of the largest battles in World War One. more than one million casualties died. there was alot of stalemate in this battle involving trench warfare. Germany suffered many losses towards tha allies.
  • Unrestricted Sub Warfare

    Unrestricted Sub Warfare brought many people to the allied power. Germany had lats of submarine warfare, which would surf the seas and attack any other ships insight. the cause of Submarine Warfare is the increase of casualty deaths. Germany had shot down many trade ships that had nothing to do with the war.
  • America enters war

    Letter intercepted by the british from Germany to Mexico had caused the Americans to go to war. The letter asked Mexico to attack the Americans with Germany after the war because Germany knew they were about to lose the war, and was going to run short on resources. This cause the Allies an uperhand since America spent over 700 million dollars in the war.
  • Russian Revolution

    Russian revolution was civil war in Russia. Russia was forces to sign a peace treaty with Germany, and move out from the war. this might be the cause of the victory towards the allies. If the revolution had not been taken place, Germany wouldn't had used all the power it had to try to take out france.
  • Second Battle of the Marne

    An attack by Germany had been curtailed by allied forces (France), and was one of the battles that brought Germany to its loss.
  • Armistice

    The end of World War 1, The Central Powers began to break down until there was nothing left. Turkey signed an Armistice, followed by Austria-Hungary. On November 11th, Germany had signed an Armistice which would end the fighting of World War One.
  • Treaty of Versailles

    This was the Peace treaty that Germany had signed with the Allied forces stating that there would be no state of war between Germany and the Allied forces any longer.
