  • Elijah Clarke and the battle of kettle creek

    Elijah Clarke led troops at the kettle creek. They defeated a group of 800 british soldiers. End result: patriots took needed weapons and horses and raised the spirits of the georgia militia. Clarke county was named in honor of Elijah.
