    The Paleo Cultuer exsited 12,000 years ago. They ate mammmoths, sloths, sabertooth tigers, and other meat animals. They followed them around while they were in packs. They were hunting them they stabbed them with spears to kill the Mammoths.

    Archiac
    The archiac indians were the first to use pottery. They hunted the same animals as the paleo indians. They used the same weapons at first but then the climate changed and the big animals died and became extinct. they then had to use thin spears to hunt the smaller animals that came to them. this time period lasted from 8000 B.C and 1000 B.C.

    Woodland
    The woodland indians were the first to use pottery for cooking. They were the first to start to settle in places as tribes. They were the first to make the bow and arrow. They were also the first to succsesfully plant food and it grow.

    He was looking for gold in Georgia. The reason is cause he heard that the native americans had gold. It is true that they did have gold. It was not from a gold mine it was from wreked spanish ships. He was cruel and killed thousands of native americans. He used weapons and dieases . He died a failure and did not find any gold.

    A charter is a legal document that grants special rights. It is signed by King George. the charter is between the Savannah and Altanama rivers. There are certain things excluded from the charter for example catholics, blacks, lawyers, and out lawed liquor. According to the charter trustees could not pass laws without the kings permission

    He (James Oglethorpe) wante da new colony to help the poor. he did not like the prisons because of the conditions. it would also help against enimes. Before he could take the land he had to get permission from the cheif of the yamacraw indians. The king also had to give him permission to use the resources to build the new colony

    The Highland scots were recruted by James Oglethorpe to help protect the new colony from the Spanish. They were from scotland and were considered great warriors. The scots were big and strong and not afraid of anything. They settled in a land they would call Darrien.

    He is the second governor of Georiga.He has been called Georgias second founder. Georiga greeted him with enthasiasm when he arrived. Poor health forced Ellis to leave Georiga in November 1760.

    This is when the govenor and state legislature sold land at very low prices. They had to bribe them into buying it. They had to give back all the land that they sold and then had to pay back all the money that they took.

    This was made by Eli Whitney. It was a machine that made it easier to seperate the cotton seed from the actual cotton. Before the invention of the gin it took hundreds of hours to seperate the fibers. The increase of production had a heavy need of slavery.

    This event speed up the Indian removal act. This was when there was gold found on indian land and the government wanted to get them off the land faster so they could mine it. Over 10,000 miners flocked to georiga.

    The first inmates began arriving at the Andersonville prison in February 1864. It was still under construction when they arrived. The prisoner-exchange system between the North and South collapsed in 1863 over disagreements about the handling of black soldiers. This is one reason the prisoner camp was so bad after this 100 prisoners or more were brought into the camp every day

    Japenese war planes staged a surprise attack on the U.S Pacific Fleet stationed at Pearl Harbor in Hawii.They killed over 2,300 military personell and citizens. and destroyed nine ships.

    This was the killing of over 6 million pepole labled as undesirable the nazis killed them before and during WW2. Many were killed by starvation, disease, mis treatments and medical experiments. Prisoners including the children were gassed in chambers they thought were showers.

    Linda Brown tried to enroll in a all whites school. When entry was denied the naccp helped Browns father sue the Topeka Board of Education. This case reached the supreme court. The supreme court said that seperate but equal was unsonstitutional. It ordered racial intergration of schools with all deliberate speed.
