Voters approved a $29.7 million bond issue. The bond included construction of a new wing and interior renovations to the high school, an Advanced Technical Center to house career and tech courses, a TRAILS facility for adult students ages 18-21 with disabilities, capital improvements and technology upgrades.

Work starts on the Advanced Technical Center located next to the Athletic Complex. Students will take courses such as welding, cabinet making, CAD and automotive technology in the ATC.

Construction begins on the new wing of the high school's main building. This wing will house 18 new classrooms and allow the music program's space to expand.

The school board awarded a contract for the construction of the TRAILS building, which will be located behind the tennis courts.

Students enrolled in courses taught by Mr. Hines and Mr. Frey returned from spring break to new classrooms as the ATC became available for occupancy.

Work started on the space vacated by the classes who moved to the ATC. Once complete this area will house the journalism and FACS programs.

Following the last day of school, the commons area, library, and occupied classrooms will undergo renovations for expansion/repurposing as well as and routine maintenance to prepare them for the 2017-2018 school year.
