    They besieged the palace and forced King Louis XVI of France to return with them to France.

    There was a secret cupboard found containing proof of his correspondence with foreign powers. He was brought to trial for treason and executed by guillotine.

    This was a period of time where a series of massacres and executions took place because of accusations of treason by the Committee of Public Safety and other reasons.

    He was the person who actually started the Reign Of Terror, so he faced the same fate as all of those people who were executed. He was executed by the guillotine.

    This code mainly addressed matters relating to properties and families. It was the first major revision and reorganization of laws since the Roman era.
  • Napoleon Crowns himself emperor

    He crowned himself emperor to lay a good foundation for the future dynasties. He also did this to gain prestige in international royalist and Catholic circles.

    The Peninsular War was the military conflict fought in the Iberian Peninsula by Spain, Portugal, and the United Kingdom against the invading and occupying forces of the First French Empire during the Napoleonic Wars.
  • Napoleon and his men march on Russia

    The French Army was forced to retreat after the Russians refused to engage in battle with them. This caused about 400,000 deaths of the French soldiers. Mainly because of the cold and starvation.
  • Napoleon is exiled to Elba

    Napoleon and another military leader abdicated the throne and, in the treaty of Fontainebleau, is banished to Elba.
  • Napoleon dies

    After Napoleon was exiled, he got really sick which later caused him to die.
