The Americans bombed Cambodia to try and stop the communists Pol Pot and his attempt towards communism. American's plan is ineffective and the communist party continues. -

Pol Pot Overthrown
Communist reign ends when Vietnam takes the capitol (Phnom Penh). Cambodia becomes the People's Republic of Kampuchea and efforts are made to revert life back to that before the communist party. -

Hun Sen becomes the Prime Minister and guerrilla warfare breaks out all over the country. -
Hun Sen Tries to Reattract Tourists
Hun Sen tries to attract foreign tourism and business by abandoning socialism. Renamed the State of Cambodia. -
