    The main issue of this case was that David Riley was pulled over and police found information on his phone that linked him to shootings in the past. The ruling of the case was that the police can't search his phone without a warrant. The short term effect was that the police couldn't use the information on his phone as evidence in court, and the long term effect is to show that police officers can't have more power than the citizen during an arrest. Equality is represented in this case.
