    Thomas Jefferson and Burr tied on votes and were sent to the house of reps.They decided that Jefferson would be president and Burr would be vice.Jefferson made some great decisions as a president.

  • The Louisiana Purchase was bought.

    The Louisiana Purchase was bought.
    The Louisiana purchase was one of the best things that has happened for the U.S. It was probably the best thing Jefferson did.We got millions of dollars off of it.

  • The Lewis and Clark expedition set off.

    The Lewis and Clark expedition set off.
    This expedition was the first one to ever cross the Western portion of the United States. They were set off after the Louisiana Territory was purchased. They found great land and it was a very successful expedition.

  • James Madison Becomes President

    James Madison got a lot of help becoming president because he was in the house for 8 years before his presidency. He was the secretary of state for 8 years while Jefferson was president. He knew leadership as a kid because he grew up with 11 siblings.

    This war was fought between the US and The United Kingdom. The British blockaded the US making things difficult.This war was seen as one of the biggest wars ever.

    The battle of New Orleans was fought between the British and The U.S. The U.S won the battle but it was still not good.This battle happened after the treaty of Ghent .This made some people mad.

    The Monroe doctrine was signed so that Europe would not be mean to us and we wouldn't be mean to them. It worked out great and no war happened from it.A lot of countries did not like this though.

    John Quincy Adams became president in a weird election. Him and Jefferson tied in votes. The house of reps decided that Adams should win. Adams basically rigged the election so that he would win.

  • Andrew Jackson Became President.

    Andrew Jackson became president in a very dirty election.He lost four years earlier to Adams who should not have been in the office. He finally got his time as president and did a lot for the country.

  • Zachary Taylor became president.

    Zachary Taylor became president.
    Zachary Taylor was known for being a good leader. He was a general in the war of 1812. He did not accomplish a lot as a president because of his death mid term.
