    One of Thomas Jefferson's major accomplishments was writing the Declaration of Independence. One of his bad accomplishments was when he stopped being president. Jefferson was overall a very good president.
  • Louisiana purchase was finished.

    Louisiana purchase was finished.
    It was a land deal between the U.S and France. The land only cost 15 million dollars. And in today dollars it is worth 1.2 trillion dollars.
  • Lewis and Clark Expedition sets off in Saint Louis, Missouri.

    One of the goals on the trip was to find a waterway from the U.S. to the Pacific Ocean. Another goal was to explore the unknown territory and establish a trading post with the Native American tribes.The expedition was a quick two year process and was successful.

    One very important thing Madison did was being the father of the Constitution.He was also Secretary of State for Thomas Jefferson while he was president. He was similar to Jefferson because they were both very good presidents.

    One cause of the war is the Impressment of American Sailors. Another cause would be that Britain sent Indian tribes from Canada to slow down American soldiers. Also British warships were causing America great stress.

    The British burnt down the White house during the Battle of Bladensburg. The burning was in retaliation after America destroyed Dover Port in Canada. Less than a day after the fire a hurricane came and took out the fire.

    Jame's most famous accomplishment was the decoration of the Monroe Doctrine to congress. The capital city of Liberia is named after Monroe.James Monroe also oversaw the western expansion of the United States.

    Adams was the leading negotiator in the Treaty Of Ghent. It helped restore the borders between the two nations. John Quincy Adams also was known as one of the best Secretary's of State in history. Adams loved being a negotiator because he also helped the U.S. by the Florida Purchase Treaty with Spain.

    Andrew Jackson became a national hero when he won the battle of New Orleans against the British army.He lead a major role in white males being able to vote. Andrew Jackson authorized the exploration of the U.S.
  • Black Hawk War begins.

    One cause of the war was the settlers, kicked the natives out of their own territory. People say that the Black Hawk tribe tried to avoid bloodshed. They just wanted to settle down on tribal land but the colonists/Americans, made a lot of treaties favoring themselves so they don't have to move their homes.
