    Baby is 1/4th of an inch long, weighs 1 ounce, and has developed dark circles for eyes, mouth, lower jaw, and throat , blood cells also begin to take shape.
  • Month 2

    Month 2
    Baby is about 1 inch long, and weighs 1/3 ounce. Baby is begging to develop ears, fingers, toes, and eyes. Digestive tract and sensory organs begin to form. Bone starts to replace cartilage. The neural tube is formed.
  • Month 3 *end of first trimester*

    Baby is about 3-4 inches long, and weighs about 1 ounce. They have developed arms, hands, legs, and feet. Baby is starting to develop teeth.
  • Month 4

    Month 4
    Baby is about 6 inches long, and weighs about 4 ounces. Baby's fingers and toes are well defined. Baby's eyelids, eyebrows, eyelashes, nails, and hair are developed. Bones and teeth become denser. Baby can now suck its thumb, stretch, yawn, and make faces. The nervous system is starting to function. You get to learn the gender of your baby
  • Month 5

    Baby is about 10 inches long and weighs about 1/2 to 1 pound. Baby's hair is beginning to grow, hair also develops on shoulders, back, and temples, it is used to help protect baby and is shed within first week of birth. Baby is starting to develop muscle so you can feel it moving.
  • Month 6 *end of second trimester*

    Baby is about 12 inches long, and weighs about 2 pounds. Baby's skin is a reddish color, wrinkled, and you can see veins through it. You can now see baby's finger and toe prints. Baby starts to open eyes. Baby can respond to noise by quickening pulse, and can hiccup.
  • Month 7

    Month 7
    Baby is about 14 inches long, and weighs about 2 to 4 pounds. Baby's hearing is well developed, and they move around a lot. they start responding well to sound, pain, an light.
  • Month 8

    Month 8
    Baby is about 18 inches long, and weighs about 5 pounds. Baby continues to develop body fat. Baby will start kicking more, and their brain will start to develop more quickly. Most organs are well developed but lungs may still be immature.
  • Month 9 *end of third trimester*

    Month 9 *end of third trimester*
    Baby is about 18 to 20 inches long, and weighs about 7 pounds. Baby can now turn their head, and grip things. All organs are fully developed,and baby has dropped down to mothers pelvis. Baby has positioned to where their head is at the birth canal.
