    1900-In march they traveled to London to present the constitution to the British parliament. In July the British Parliament passed the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act. On the 9th of July queen Victoria signed the commonwealth of Australia constitution act. On the 31st of July Western Australia holds a referendum at which a heap of people approved the constitution.

    on the 1st of January the commonwealth of Australia was proclaimed. This happened in Centennial park, Sydney.
    On the 29th-30th of march, the first commonwealth elections were held.
    On the 9th of May the Duke of Cornwall and York( who is now known as king George V) opened the first Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia. They held it in the Royal exhibition in Melbourne.
