    The peace of augsburg was a legal basis allowing lutheranism and catholicism in Germany, mainly to destroy the tension between the two groups and to allow freedom of religion in the country. Emigration was also allowed to this state to practice this religion by the peace of augsburg.

    King Charles of France ordered a killing of Huguenot Protestant leaders in paris, this caused the people of France to riot against the huguenot people and resulted in the killings of thousands of people. Eventually, the killings got so bad a report was issued to stop the killings, and people avoided this.

    This edit was signed by Henry VI of France, and helped to stop the violent wars of the roman catholics and the protestants, who killed thousands of people during a certain time period. This was the document signed to halt the bartholomew's day massacre, and didn't stop people from killing others of the opposite religion in France.

    The thirty years war started as a battle between Catholic and Protestant states. The war started off as religion and then ended as more of a war as who got to govern the countries. It was known as one of the most brutal wars ever.
  • Treaty of Westphalia

    The treaty of Westphalia was signed in order to end the thirty years war. The treaty gave swiss independence to austria, and the Netherlands to spain. It also ended catholicism for good in europe, and made protestantism the primary religion.
