    Aliya
My family moved from Silver Spring, Maryland to Israel. Since my husband and I were married, we had planned to bring up our family in Israel. Finally, after 13 years of marriage, the two of us plus our five children, ages 12, 8, 6, 3 and 5 weeks landed at Ben Gurion internation Airport.
  • Moshe's Bar Mitzvah

    Moshe's Bar Mitzvah
Our oldest son, Moshe, was called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah in Katamon, Jerusalem. This was the end of what I had found to be a difficult first year in Israel. After this event I felt gratitude that we had survived this first year with only minor inconveniences. I was determined to bring up all of my children in Israel.
  • We move into our home in Hashmonaim

We move into our home in Hashmonaim
While renting in Jerusalem, we bought land, designed and built a home in Hashmonaim. This was the fulfillment of my personal dream, held since I had spent a year of university studying in Jerusalem. My dream was to live in Judea and Samaria, the West Bank.
  • Defensive Shield

    Defensive Shield
Moshe served in the IDF during Operation Defensive Shield. He was in Golani and as a driver of the Achzarit, Golani's personnel carrier, was part of many incursions into Jenin.
  • Moshe's Wedding

    Moshe's Wedding
Moshe and Elisheva, a Canadian immigrant, were married in Shoresh. Walking him down to the Chuppa atop the hills surrounding Jerusalem was an incredible experience for me. I felt gratitude that I, a new immigrant, merited witnessing my son's wedding in this setting.

    Timeline
I am showing you this Timeline of my life. I managed to do this even though it is not easy for me to work with computers. Now I am asking you to each create your own Timelines of your life at www.timetoast.com. I hope that we can share them with the class next week.
