Rights Curtailed
A parliament was burned and a Dutch Communist was accused. Hitler started to take over and took some of the peopeles rights away like their freedom of speech, press, and assembly. On March 20, 1933, they created their first concentration camp -
Anti-Jewish Laws
There was a boycott. Jewish people were being banned from service jobs like medicine and civil things. Books written by Jewish people were being burned. Many Jewish people left that year, but some were still loyal to Germany and their people. -
Juden Verboten (No Jew Allowed)
Nuremburg Laws said that Jewish people will be stripped of their German citizenship. The Jewish people were being kicked out of schools and and their business was being taken away from them. They were no longe able to raise the German flag, and they were no longer able to marry a German. -
War Breaks Out
Germany invades Poland officially starting the war. After they invade Poland, they force the Jewish people to live in crowded neighborhods there. There was a few massacres and some were really bad where the Jewish males were forced to dig their own graves, then they were shot. Hitler thought that he would purify the Master Race and get rid of the really old people, mentally ill, permanently ill, and homosexuals. People over the age of 10 were told to wear a yellow star with Jew written on it -
Massacres
Germany declares war against the US. They also do a mass killing and tell the Jewish people to lie down on the ground naked, then they shoot and kill them. Then they tell the next group to come, and they do the same thing. -
Word Gets Out
Many Jewish people were being killed and about 1.6 million were killed in the Auschwitz camp. Many of the Jewish people were being killed in gas chambers and some were made slaves. Finally word got out about the mass killings, but still no one has done anything. -
Being told what to do
Jewish people were told to write to others saying that they are being sent to work camps, not being tortured in a concentration camp. When the few who get away tell them the truth, no one really believes them. Denmark smuggles Jewish people on the boat and says that they are deporting them, but sends them to Sweden -
Hiding the Truth
The Nazi's are starting to pani because they are losing the war, so they slaughter whoever is in the concentration camps so there would be no proof. On April 30 is when Germany surrenders. On March 7, Hitler commits suicide.
